JOB HUNTING: INFORMATIONALS

Part of my job search technique has been to network with current professionals in the industry. This afternoon, I will be talking with a Group Account Director from Saatchi & Saatchi Canada. It’s a chance for me to pick the brain of someone already living the life of an Ad Pro, a chance for me to get some insider scoop, and a chance for me to grow intellectually.

For the Ad Wannabies out there, I highly suggest this approach. Today’s informational will be my 4th or 5th one and I have a few more next week.

Scouring through the Saatchi & Saatchi Canada website, I thought this print ad for Gas-X really stood out for its smart simplicity. It is also rather comedic, which is always a plus.

I absolutely love this ad. It reminds me of how I used to clean my room - by throwing everything underneath my bed. Problem is, one day it’ll all be exposed, and it definitely was.
For me, I believe when an ad can make an emotional connection with their audience, then it is successful.
